1. How to use this site

Think of this store as a shopping mall with several different departments:
1. A shop for sending images directly to your mobile
2. A shop for downloading images to your computer screen
3. You can order a print via Photobox
4. A place to buy prints and cards from a broad back catalogue of fantasy art images
5. You can obtain a license for commercial applications
6. Sample a number of products for FREE

In each department you will be able to make transactions but you won't be able to mix stores. For example, if you want to send an image to your mobile then the payment will be added directly to your bill or deducted from your phone credit and you will not need to use a credit card. However, you would need to make payments in the other departments using our safe, easy and secure Paypal or a card payment methods. The gift store checkout and Print gallery is entirely separate to the downloadable wallpapers section and so forth so you would need to make separate payments. But there's no harm in taking your time to browse. You might even prefer not to make all your purchases at once! (Back to the top)

2. Sending images to your mobile

Please note:

Please read the instruction manual for your mobile handset to familiarise yourself with how to receive WAP images and how to store and convert them into a wallpaper. Please check with your network provider, if you are uncertain about the cost

Light and Magic supplies the images to mPush, the delivery service, for a small fee and is not responsible for the delivery.

If there is a problem receiving the image, please contact mPush. To do so simply click on any of the "send to your mobile" buttons, then click "Help (Support)" and close the window when finished.

Light and Magic is not responsible for problems in the content delivery chain, which involves mPush and your mobile service provider.

3. About downloading wallpapers to your computer screen

Q.: I downloaded the pictures, but I can't find them.

A.: In your Windows PC Browser under TOOLS, go to OPTIONS. In the options panel find the button SAVE FILES TO. The window next to the button will tell you where your files are saved. You can also create a new folder in your Documents Folder, to which everything you download will be saved.
On your Apple Mac the downloaded images will appear on your desktop.

Q.: How do I get my picture to appear on the screen of my PC?

A.: Once you located your images select an image file and right-click on it. A window will open with a number of options. Select SET AS DESKTOP BACKGROUND and your wallpaper is set.

Q.: How do I get my picture to appear on the screen of my Apple Mac?

A.: Open SYSTEM PREFERENCES, Select DESKTOP & SCREEN SAVER. Click on DESKTOP, scroll down to CHOOSE FOLDER, select the folder with your Light & Magic images. Click on the images you wish to display. You can also change the desktop image by ticking the CHANGE PICTURE box.

Q.: How do I create a screen saver on my Apple Mac?

A.: Follow the same procedure as above, but instead of clicking the Desktop tabs, click the SCREEN SAVER tab. Selecting OPTIONS under the preview allows you to create soft blends as well as zoom effects.

Q.: I downloaded a lot of images how can I make them into a screensaver

A: On the PC create a folder for all your Light & Magic images. Go to START in the bottom left-hand corner and select CONTROL PANEL. In the CONTROL PANEL select DISPLAY . Under DISPLAY PROPERTIES select the tab at the top named SCREEN SAVERS. Under the picture of the monitor is a box called SCREEN SAVER. In the dropdown menu select MY PICTURE SLIDESHOW, click on SETTINGS next to  it. The MY PICTURE SCREEN SAVER window appears. All you need to do now is navigate to the folder where you stored the Light & Magic images and select it. You can select other options as well while you are in that panel. 5) Questions about licensing

Q.: How do I purchase a license?

A.: At the moment licenses will have to be processed individually. Please go to the Licensing men and fill in the form. We will get back to you with a quote and give you the option to purchase the license. You will then be sent a link from which you can download the image.

Q.: What can I use it for?

A.: Usage and restrictions are laid down in the licensing agreement, which you will have to read and agree to before you make the payment and commence downloading of the image. If the agreement box is not ticked, the licensing will not proceed.

Q.: Are there any restrictions of use?

A.: There are some restrictions, for example their reproduction for merchandising and consumer posters. But a special agreement can be obtained using a royalty agreement or a flat fee.
